Information on the rapper
Dr. Egon Spengler was one of the four Ghostbusters, along with Peter Venkman, Ray Stantz, and Winston Zeddemore. He was the brains of the team, having invented the Proton Packs, the Muon Trap, and the Containment Unit. Spengler was often bookish and socially awkward, however, still remaining largely efficient and straight-to-the-point when it comes to his attitude. He was portrayed by the late Harold Ramis in the films and voiced by Maurice LaMarche in the animated series.
Unknown as of Ghostbusters II, Spengler married and had one daughter, Callie, whom he doted on from behind the scenes. Callie was never aware of this as she always saw her father as engrossed in his work with no attention to family, and the two became estranged. As the Ghostbusters disbanded at some point in the 1990s, Egon took much of their equipment with him to the remote town of Summerville, Oklahoma and began his extensive research on Gozer, the ancient deity he and his teammates supposedly neutralized in 1984. Gozer had in fact escaped to Summerville, where they found refuge in an ancient temple and from there, they lay in wait. Egon was able to restrain Gozer, but he was soon after killed on the farm property he bought by other ghosts in their service, though not before he willed the estate to Callie.
In 2021, during the events of Ghostbusters: Afterlife, Callie, who had fallen on hard times, moved with her children Phoebe and Trevor to Egon's estate to tie up loose ends, unaware that Gozer was in the process of reawakening. But Egon, who still dwelt in the farmhouse as a ghost, guided his grandchildren to the tools they and two new friends named Lucky Domingo and "Podcast" needed to stop the deity from wreaking havoc once again. However, Callie was on the verge of reconciliation with her father when Zuul the Gatekeeper attacked and possessed her. It was Phoebe, every bit in her grandfather's eccentric image, who freed Callie and led her young team to battle with Gozer; and as the new Ghostbusters were on the ropes, their forebears, including the ghostly Egon, arrived at the farmhouse to back them. Having completed his task, Egon mends fences with his family before departing for the afterlife.

Verse 1:
Are you tired of two geeks in mustaches
Who can manage to be boring with explosions and crashes?
If you, or the Lorax, wanna bust like we do,
Give us a call. We're ready to defeat you!
Ghostbusters, flow crushers, get the job done!
Spitting out the lyrics like, "We got one!"
Get the people moving like the Statue of Liberty!
Try to beat us in a battle? Man, you gotta be kidding me!
The delivery of Stantz stands straight like my main man's slinky!
I collect spores. Tell him 'bout the Twinkie.
Like your show, it's all fluff and filler.
I'll kick your hiney, man. I'm a savage killer.
Verse 2:
That's enough from the walrus and dickless the clown.
Let's show these myth bitches how we do it downtown!
Grab your stick, hold'n, heat 'em up, smoking!
High speed shows your ass get beat in slow motion!
We roast show hosts when our flows cross streams!
Pumping out blockbusters, while you work behind the scenes!
It's a rap test, dummy, and you're both getting crashed!
We came, we saw, we kicked your ass!
Trivia
- He is the fourth fictional character to canonically die after appearing in ERB, after Hodor, Daenerys Targaryen and Rick Grimes. Other characters, particularly comic book superheroes, may have also been depicted dying at some point after their ERB appearances, but these deaths were not the definitive fates of the characters' main incarnations.
- He is the only member of his group not to be played by someone new to ERB.
