Two High Elves made cameo appearances in J. R. R. Tolkien vs George R. R. Martin. They were portrayed by Shaun Lewin and Sulai Lopez.
Information on the cameos
The High Elves were the kindreds of Calaquendi who answered the summons and traveled to Aman to settle there. It tended to be a term used by mortals, such as men and Hobbits to distinguish the Noldorin exiles and other folk who left the Undying Lands and returned to Middle-earth from lesser elves who had never been to Valinor.
High Elves were known to have considerable power, such as the ability to see Ringwraiths and other shadow creatures, and to combat such entities. Those of the Noldor race were often skilled craftsmen as well. However, the High Elves always longed to return to the Undying Lands, and most had sailed from the Grey Havens by the time of The Lord of the Rings.
Notable High Elves within the events of The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit include Legolas, Galadriel, Elrond, Thranduil and Glorfindel.
Appearance in the rap battle
A male and female High Elf first appeared at the Black Gate of Mordor next to J. R. R. Tolkien as he said, "Welcome to Shire-raq!" Later on, the male elf acted as a transition into George R. R. Martin's third verse, and then both the male and female elves danced near Tolkien as he said, "Every time I battle, it's Return of the King!"
