Information on the cameo
Jesus Quintana is a character portrayed by John Turturro in the 1998 movie The Big Lebowski. As a bowler, he is an opponent of Jeffrey "The Dude" Lebowski, the main character, and his team in the bowling league semifinals. He became known as a very vain and arrogant person, often referring to himself in the third-person as "The Jesus" (using the English pronunciation of the name rather than the Spanish).
Quintana is a Latin American North Hollywood resident who speaks with a thick Cuban-American accent. According to Jeff's friend Walter Sobchak, he is a pederast who did six months in Chino (California Institution for Men) for exposing himself to an eight-year-old.
Appearance in the rap battle
Jesus Quintana appeared alongside Jesus Christ and a man named Jesus behind the Easter Bunny when he said the line, "We should keep it peaceful, homeboy, Jesus!"
Trivia
- In one scene in The Big Lebowski, John Turturro put a sack of birdseed in his pants to make a bulge. In the rap battle, it appears that he has a big bulge in his pants, presumably a reference to this scene.
