Information on the cameo
John Henry Bonham was born on May 31st, 1948, in Redditch, England. He was the drummer for the band Led Zeppelin. He has been held in high esteem for his speed, power, fast bass-drumming, distinctive sound, and feel.
Bonham died at the age of 32 from alcohol poisoning on September 25th, 1980, in Clewer, England. Following Bonham's death, his three surviving bandmates disbanded Led Zeppelin out of respect.
Bonham is often called the greatest rock drummer of all time, just ahead of the Who's Keith Moon and Rush's Neil Peart. Many other famous drummers, including Peart and Queen's Roger Taylor, have cited Bonham as an influence in their musicianship.
Appearance in the rap battle
John Bonham appeared at the Black Gate of Mordor during J. R. R. Tolkien's third verse, where he could be seen playing the drums alongside the rest of Led Zeppelin when Tolkien said, "Ask Led Zeppelin!" and "Every time I battle, it's Return of the King!"
