It is the country's hub for immigration and was once the home of Harry Houdini.

Houdini was lifted on a crane in front of a crowd, referencing his famous publicity stunt in which he was lifted high into the air from his ankles using a crane and escaped from a straightjacket. Several skyscrapers and other buildings can be seen in the background.
