The Pit of Death is where Leonidas and Master Chief were briefly seen in Master Chief vs Leonidas.

Information on the location

The Pit of Death, known today as Kaiadas, is located on the slopes of Mt. Taygetos, at the village of Parori, a few kilometers outside of Sparta. It is where the Spartans, mainly during the period of the Messenian wars, were said to have abandoned their weak and deformed infants as well as the criminals, traitors and war prisoners, until 406 BC, when it stopped being used. Down in the deep chasm, archaeologists have found a plethora of skeletons, all of which had suffered extensive fractures; many had the marks of spears and arrows on them. Because of an earthquake that had stricken the area in 464 BC, the older skeletons are buried under numerous boulders. The original depth of the chasm is still unknown to this day.

This is the location where both Leonidas and Master Chief could be seen when Leonidas screamed "THIS IS SPARTA!" and kicked Master Chief down into the pit. Master Chief then used his jetpack to rise out of the pit. This particular scene spoofed the infamous scene from the film 300, in which Leonidas kicked a Persian messenger down into the pit.

Trivia

This is the third location to be shared by all rappers during the battle, after The O'Reilly Factor and the sports ring from Mr. T vs Mr. Rogers.
