Queen Anne's Revenge is where Blackbeard rapped in Blackbeard vs Al Capone. It is also where his pirates and Edward Kenway made their cameo appearances.

Information on the location

Queen Anne's Revenge was the name of Blackbeard's flagship. It was only used by him for a year, but the use of the ship was proved to be effective in his prize-taking. The vessel was a warship frigate built in England in 1710, and was originally named Concord, later renamed La Concorde de Nantes after being captured by the French. The French modified and fortified the ship to hold more cargo and was then used as a slave ship. On November 28th, 1717, the ship was captured again, this time by Captain Benjamin Hornigold, near the island of Martinique. Hornigold turned the ship over to Blackbeard and appointed him her captain.

Blackbeard made La Concorde de Nantes his flagship, added cannons, and renamed her Queen Anne's Revenge. This name may originate from the war of Spanish succession, known in the Americas as Queen Anne's War, in which Blackbeard had served in the Royal Navy. Blackbeard sailed with the ship to the Caribbean, attacking all merchant ships he and his crew met along the way.

In May 1718, Blackbeard ran Queen Anne's Revenge aground while entering Beaufort Inlet, having to disband her and escape through the use of a smaller ship. In 1996, a shipwreck was discovered off of North Carolina, which was believed to be that of the great vessel. It was confirmed to be his ship in 2011 after fifteen years of study. The ship was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2004.

Appearance in the rap battle

Blackbeard rapped aboard Queen Anne's Revenge. During his second verse, Blackbeard's pirates made a cameo appearance here. Soon after they stole Al Capone's booze, Edward Kenway, who was hired by Capone's gangsters, could be seen killing them all here during Capone's second verse.
