Season 7 is the seventh season of Epic Rap Battles of History. It was confirmed on December 5th, 2020 during the Behind the Scenes for Harry Potter vs Luke Skywalker, where EpicLLOYD spoke about battles returning in 2021 after an abrupt end to Season 6 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Since then, battles have been produced with no set schedule, resulting in less frequent releases compared to previous seasons. Thus far, this has meant no more than three battles in a single calendar year, and several years with only one battle released. In addition, these episodes were not officially acknowledged as a "seventh season" by the ERB crew until October 25th, 2022 on the ERB Patreon Discord, more than a year after they began to release. During this season, ERB began to make their own custom beats, starting with Henry Ford vs Karl Marx. The season began on June 14th, 2021, with Ragnar Lodbrok vs Richard The Lionheart serving as the season premiere. This is the third season in a row to feature an election-themed battle (as well as featuring Donald Trump). This is also the first season to have two battles in a row featuring a returning rapper, with Trump's battle preceding Napoleon Bonaparte's.
