A sports ring has appeared as a location in multiple Epic Rap Battles of History episodes.
Information on the location
Sports rings are used for physical sports, such as boxing and wrestling. All four sides have two ropes to hold the competitors in the ring while they are competing. In wrestling, some people use the posts or ropes against their opponent.
Appearance in the rap battles
Hulk Hogan and Macho Man vs Kim Jong-il:
Hulk Hogan and Macho Man Randy Savage are briefly seen here after Kim Jong-il shoots Hogan with his bazooka, forcing Hogan to tag in Macho Man to finish the battle.
The re-edit version has the wrestling ring as Hogan's main location, appearing in his verse and when he was shot.
Mr. T vs Mr. Rogers:
Mr. T and Mister Rogers are briefly seen here when Mister Rogers says the line, "You call yourself T 'cause you're too dumb to spell."
Michael Jordan vs Muhammad Ali:
Muhammad Ali rapped in a boxing ring located inside of a boxing gym. Michael Jordan also temporarily rapped here during his third verse.
Trivia
- The rings used in Mr. T vs Mr. Rogers and Michael Jordan vs Muhammad Ali are the second and sixth locations to be shared by all rappers during the battle, respectively.
- The sky outside the gym is a re-colored version of the sky from MLK's Dream Speech, as mentioned by Andrew Sherman in the behind the scenes video for the battle.
- Posters behind Muhammad Ali's boxing gym are from real life posters, which can be seen in the gallery below.
