The Eye of Sauron made a cameo appearance in J. R. R. Tolkien vs George R. R. Martin. It was animated, and thus, did not require an actor.

Information on the cameo

In J. R. R. Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings novels, the Eye of Sauron is a metaphor for the main antagonist Sauron's overwhelming spiritual presence and vast farsight, as it is implied that he has a physical body throughout the events of the books.

In Peter Jackson's The Lord of the Rings film series, Sauron lacks a humanoid form and instead is a gigantic eyeball composed of energy that sits atop Barad-dûr. The Eye was eventually adopted as something of an insignia by Sauron's forces, being used on armor and banners of Mordor.

Appearance in the rap battle

The Eye of Sauron first appeared behind the Black Gate of Mordor during J. R. R. Tolkien's title card. It could then be seen throughout the entirety of Tolkien's first and third verse, as well as during the "Who Won? Who's Next? You Decide" sequence.
