Tokyo, Japan is one of the locations where Godzilla rapped in Godzilla vs King Kong. This is also where Mothra and Rodan made their cameos.
Information about the location
Tokyo (Japanese 東京 literally "East Capital") originally named Edo (Japanese 江戸 literally "Bay Entrance") is the capital of Japan and the world's largest and most populated metropolitan area. It is located at the head of Tokyo Bay in the Kanto Region of the largest of Japan's islands, Honshu. It is a major economic center as the world's second wealthiest city after New York City, with many famous large multinational companies like Mitsubishi, Hitachi, and Honda being headquartered there. Notable locations include, but are not limited to: Tokyo Skytree, Tokyo Tower, Tokyo Disneyland, Tokyo DisneySea, Senso-ji, Meiji Shrine, Ueno Park, Rainbow Bridge, and the Imperial Palace. On clear days, it is even possible to see Mount Fuji from the top of some of the tall structures of the city.
Within the Godzilla series of films and extended lore, Tokyo is the predominant location where the kaiju rampages. In the original 1954 film, Godzilla devastates the city for the first time. Through the Showa, Heisei, Millennium, and Reiwa eras, the city is repeatedly destroyed either by Godzilla itself, extraterrestrial monsters, or indirectly via the ensuing battles between kaiju. Occasionally, Tokyo's government itself will intervene, either to aid Godzilla or hinder its rampage, whichever option that can best ensure the city remains intact. These attempts are tragically futile, and most military efforts are usually brushed off by Godzilla. Ironically, Godzilla is celebrated as a cultural icon by Tokyoites in real life with several statues and yearly festivals dedicated to the monster.
Appearance in the rap battle
This is the location where Godzilla rapped throughout its first two verses. It first rapped near Daishi Bridge in the river. In its second verse, it travels between the high-rise buildings of the city. Rodan and Mothra also made their cameo appearances here.
