The Trinity Atomic Testing Site was where the first atomic bomb was tested. The bomb, codenamed Trinity by those working on the Manhattan Project, was successfully detonated on July 29th, 1945, at 5:29 a.m. The testing was done in Jornada del Muerto, New Mexico. It was here that Oppenheimer coined his famous phrase: "Now I am become Death, the destroyer of worlds."
