It's been two and a half years since Mustang vs Ironwood. That's the longest I've gone without doing a battle. Well, "doing" as in finalizing and posting one. I've very briefly done some snippets of battles in the background now and then, but never really got around to finishing them. As such my skills may be a bit rusty, or they may just be stagnant.
This one, well, the new ERB put me into the mood, and I kinda just got the brainwave to do this battle after a friend mentioned rewatching ELF. And me, I just absolutely love the chaotic, nonsensical movie that is Jingle All the Way. So. Yeah. Christmas special, baby.

I'm just on a roll recently I guess lmao. I actually got this done earlier, but I wanted to wait a little bit after Coco vs Rarity so it wouldn't be released *immediately* after the fact. There were a lot of Ironwood jokes I wanted to make, but I either felt like I was overdoing it, or that other pre-existing lines covered it well enough as is. This battle also made me realize I REALLY should rewatch FMAB in full, it's been a while.

This happened a lot sooner than I was expecting lmao. It took a bit longer than Watts vs GLaDOS, but still rather quickly all things considered regarding my usual track record of battle writing. Hopefully I'll return back to a Team RWBY battle at some point, I do wanna get all four of them done before I do them as a team together. It's mainly a matter of deciding what Yang battle I wanna do. I've got a lot of ideas for her and I'm not 100% sold on any quite yet.
Speaking of getting matchups, I'm open to more RWBY suggestions. I don't have anything for JNPR, Cinder, Ozpin/Oscar, or Qrow yet, and those I'd definitely like to do battles for at some point.

I absolutely fucking adore RWBY. It's become my favorite show within the last two years, as well as my comfort show. I love the plot, characters, the way the animation has improved. All of it. Yes. If I do any other ARB installment it'll be Ben 10 vs The Doctor 3 to finish that off, but no promises regarding that.
