So, for like the -1 people left who remember RiZachulous Race (the total drama: RiDonculous Race parody/whatever I started in 2015), I've been fixing the episodes up a lot. I'm currently rewriting the last few episodes, as I wasn't satisfied with their current state (felt rather anticlimactic).

I was wondering if there would be anyone actually interested in reading them when I'm done. There's currently 20 episodes in total planned, with 17 of those episodes written out fully. I've been working on the series on and off since 2016, so some stuff in the first episodes has changed- a lot of errors fixed, characterization I felt was too mean, and two teams were added in the second writing session, so those episodes were fixed up to add them as well. Some other fixes include:

  • Characters getting more unique speech patterns (accents, quirks, so on; I'm making sure none of them completely destroy the comprehendability of their lines)
  • Using confessionals to give characters more oppurtunity to grow
  • Toning down uneccessary foul language (as in, any where it feels off) and violence to slapstick
  • All characters are adressed by their full name for lines (Ted Logan, Bill S. Preston, Romeo Montague, and Juliet Capulet are probably the only ones changed)
  • Some team names changed, and some episode names
  • The series was written after season 4 had ended when I started, but over the time editing, more characters from 5 were used; a few from season 6 will appear in the last episodes
  • A character named "Washington Wallace" does not exist anymore, as I have finished them off behind the shed where little Timmy could not see

The main thing I can see being an issue is the length. The episodes do take up a lot of pages each, with one getting around to 40 pages as of this blog post, but the format plays a big part in that- for one, lines are split by character dialogue. Dialogue between two characters can take up multiple new lines regardless of the dialogue's length itself. Also, confessionals are more detailed than in the original TDERB Wonder and I wrote, giving the team's name and describing the situation in the confessional rather than just one line. The episodes are also long often because I want to make sure each character does something, or I want to make sure a scene comes out clearly. I'll probably thin stuff out more as I continue to trim the length, but who knows.

I dunno, this story has become an odd passion project of mine, that I continue to go back to writing despite the fact I'll probably do nothing with it. I know the wiki itself has changed in terms of who's on, so if you don't recognize it, I understand. If you have any questions about it, I'll answer them.
