The answer to the first question is because years go by pretty quickly. The answer to the second one is because I am so baller I won teh Eigth Tourney and its nice to have some YungBlud lead one. The answer to the third question is that none of us have lives. The answer to the question no one asked because they're rude is "Who made this beautiful cover? The mic and the dragon with an mk font because my name is mortal? I'm pissing and shitting laughing, this is great!" Well the answer to that question is Rae of course
Now a wiki tourney is a wiki tourney. Sixteen battles with four rounds and matchups that I decided beforehand and thought would suit the opponents the best. There is one exception though. I will be joining the cool kids party and be one of the opponents, for me the opponent would be picked randomly. Yes, honestly. Not rigging shit. However, there are still some small changes I want to bring to hopefully get rid of some issues that people have and get ride of some fatigue people have and make things a bit refreshing. So let's list the rules.
The Auditions[]
Instead of a vague nonspecific verse to "prove yourself as a rapper" let's do this in a more tourney related way. Participants, your challenge is to write from four bars on...dissing the state of the ERB Wiki. Use various fandom related things like templates and articles for your witty evaluation of why the Wiki is not doing so hot. Obviously there is no room there is for dissing different things than other people but that is not an issue. You will prove yourself as a rapper by showing your approach towards this one diss. I will later announce the ones that made it and the two backups.
The Mighty Rules[]
1. In order to participate in this tourney you must have an account on some sort of social media. Discord is the most popular one and one that would avoid a lot of hassle but if you're stubborn to use it I understand that and you can choose any other site, you don't even have to use it.
2. Here's a big change. Once you are finished with your verses, you will submit them to me along with any links to references you want to have. I will submit them on my blog along with my own commentary on the two rappers, solving the issue of opponents being too busy to do it. Yes, I can do it by myself, I'm a hardworking boy, don't worry.
3. You vote to the battle in the comment section under the battle. The voting will close 72 hours after the battle was published. It must be its own comment and not a response to another. I won't vote unless it is to break a tie.
4. Each round will last two weeks, with a week of overtime if needed.
5. If a battle is not finished by the deadline, you will be given a couple more days depending on the circumstances. Then, you will submit however many lines you have at that point. Just because you have less lines than your opponent, it does not automatically mean you're going to lose.
6. In Rounds 1 and 2, the backups will consist of those who auditioned but did not make the cut. From Round 3 onwards they will consist of the rapper whom the offending competitor had last beaten.
7. Each Round has a prefered minimum of lines required for each rapper.
8. While it is against the rules to have anyone write any part of your verse, it is perfectly acceptable if you want to have it proofread. Specifc critisism is allowed, the only thing not allowed is another person writing a line. We want to see the best of you after all.
9. Your account (or another previous account used) must have been active two months and must have three hundred contributions in order for votes to count. If you're blocked but your block is set to expire soon, feel free to reach out to me and I will enter your vote for you.
10. Beats are mandatory. If you are not bothered to look for one (not dissing, I can legit understand why you don't see it as a thing to be bothered about) I wll provide a beat for you.
11. Please keep contact with your opponent. If anything my Discord tag is Mortal#8547.
12. Here's a new fun one. After each round is complete, I will upload a survey where you can sumbmit what were your favourite lines and verses on different categories from the round. The ones who will get the most votes will get awards and stuff. Cute shit.
