Information on the location
YouTube is a global video sharing website and social media platform launched on February 14, 2005. Founded by former Paypal employees Steve Chen, Chad Hurley, and Jawed Karim, the three had came up with the idea of a video sharing website after struggling to find any good ones at the time. Inspired by Janet Jackson's controversy at the Super Bowl XXXVIII halftime show and co-founder Jawed Karim's desire to find footage from the 2004 Indian Ocean Tsunami, the three decided to create the website, initially as a online dating service, before becoming the video sharing site it is known today with the video "me at the zoo".
As of 2006, YouTube has been a subsidiary of tech giant Google after acquiring them for $1.65 billion. The website has a wide variety of videos ranging in topics, with many creators such as PewDiePie, Smosh, Rhett & Link, and Epic Rap Battles of History posting their content to the website. As of 2022, it is the second most viewed website in the world, only beaten out by Google Search.
Appearance in the battle
The location appears during the interlude, after both Nice Peter and EpicLLOYD finish yelling and are about to attack each other. They are interrupted by an offscreen viewer, watching the first battle, and likes the video. Both Peter and Lloyd appreciate the act, before it returns into the ERB Studio. During this, several thumbnails for past battles appear, which include: Michael Jackson vs Elvis Presley, a playlist featuring the first Nice Peter vs EpicLLOYD battle as the thumbnail, Theodore Roosevelt vs Winston Churchill, Donald Trump vs Hillary Clinton, Tony Hawk vs Wayne Gretzky, and the playlist for the series up until that point.
